Client
Duration
Bridging the gap between heritage data and modern planning.
Delivering integrated HER research and high-precision GIS analysis to support project planning and provide clear, actionable heritage intelligence.

The Objective
Modern planning requires more than just history; it requires precise, spatial data that can be integrated directly into development workflows.
Working with Wings to the Past, I provided a streamlined approach to heritage assessment. By combining Historic Environment Record (HER) searches with LiDAR-based archaeological feature identification, I ensured that potential sites were identified early in the project lifecycle. This dual-specialism approach allowed for a faster, more accurate assessment which was then verified through traditional methods.
Summary
Precise heritage intelligence, delivered fast.
The final deliverables included comprehensive Desk-Based Assessments (DBAs) and spatial analysis that supported funding requests with clarity and authority. By providing a single point of contact for both HER research and geospatial mapping, I reduced the overhead typical of larger consultancies while maintaining a high standard of professional-grade reporting. The project successfully identified key site's, allowing the project to move forward with confidence.
